Primary Typefaces

At Stanford, our primary typefaces are Source Sans and Source Serif. You can download them from Google Fonts:

Source Sans 3 type weights

Source Sans 3 is our primary sans-serif font and should be used as a main font in headlines, body copy and captions for your print, web and social media communications.

Note: Previously Source San Pro, but was upgraded accordingly with Google Fonts

Source Serif 4 type weights

Source Serif 4 is our primary serif font and should be used in body copy as a primary serif font in your web and social media communications. Because it is part of the Source typeface family, it complements well with Source Sans in headlines and as small elements in layouts.

Note: Previously Source Serif Pro, but was upgraded accordingly with Google Fonts
