Primary Typefaces

At Stanford, our primary typefaces are Source Sans and Source Serif. You can download them from Google Fonts:

Source Sans 3 type weights

Source Sans 3 is our primary sans-serif font and should be used as a main font in body copy and captions for your print, web and social media communications.

Note: Previously Source San Pro, but was upgraded accordingly with Google Fonts

Source Sans 3 letterforms

Source Serif 4 type weights

Source Serif 4 is our primary serif font. Because it is part of the Source typeface family, it complements well with Source Sans in headlines and as small elements in layouts.
